This is my second Calphalon nonstick skillet. I have an older omelet skillet w/o the lid, but I rarely use it because it is not deep enough for items such as fish and stir-fry stuff. I don’t want a stir-fry wok. I purchased this chef’s skillet mainly because of its size, weight, nonstick surface, and lid. My fish turns out great using this skillet! The skillet is just right for me since I don’t need to cook in large quantity.
Of course, the skillet is very easy to clean. This should be my last skillet – I’ve got another set of skillets from Calphalon stainless steel. I think the price for chef’s skillet is a bit too high (compare this to the nonstick 13″ deep skillet), but I am glad I made the purchase. Got from Macy’s on sale and free shipping!
